Day 76: Little Gruinard - Upper Loch Torridon Viewpoint 21 Jul '25 We stopped in Gairloch with the intention of continuing, but the bad weather and the midges held us back... and even the people from Malaga showed up again to say hello!
Day 75: Ullapool - Little Gruinard 20 Jul '25 Today we crossed a suspension bridge, saw a gorge and went up to a viewpoint with amazing views. All very epic... if it weren't for the fact that we did it without mud, without adventure, and from inside.
Day 74: Clar Loch Beag - Ullapool 19 Jul '25 We visited a place where the stones talk, the sheep don't stray from the path, and Daddy Edu came back covered in sand. In the evening, live music... although less 'live' than expected.
Day 73: Lochinver - Clar Loch Beag 18 Jul '25 We climbed a mountain with giant deer, met up again with Andalusian and Gibraltarian friends, drank until the midges... and ended the day in a secret, bug-free corner.
Day 72: Achriesgill - Lochinver 17 Jul '25 An epic hike to the highest waterfall in the UK, mud up to our ears, views we didn't see, and a swim with a surprise… of midges. And all to sleep in an unremarkable port, but with an estuary.
Day 71: Braetongue - Achriesgill 16 Jul '25 From cliffs with caves to deserted beaches and icy swims. Today we cross the north of Scotland amongst chatty Spaniards, hitchhikers with faith, and sunsets over lonely lakes.
Day 70: Strathy - Braetongue 15 Jul '25 A postcard sunset, holes in the sand, and a farmer with more bad temper than a gone-off yoghurt: that's what our day was like, spent amongst deserted beaches, spectacular cliffs, and epic quests for a signal.
Day 69: Georgemas - Strathy 14 Jul '25 A walk amongst historic stones, a luxury washing machine, and a lady handing out sweets. Between wind, industrial memories, and a car park with a view, we find a moment of respite in the north of Scotland.
Day 68: Wick - John O'Groats - Georgemas 13 Jul '25 Among Viking ruins, castles that look out to sea and little birds that look like penguins, we arrive at the very north of Scotland... only to turn around looking for a place where they won't throw eggs at us.
Day 67: Wick 12 Jul '25 Crazy lights, a castle hanging over the abyss, and an unexpected dinner with two gentlemen from Israel. Me, in the campervan with my football. Daddy Edu, with mince and tatties in his belly.
Day 66: Berriedale - Wick 11 Jul '25 Amidst spectacular cliffs and ancient ruins, Daddy Edu battles a cough... and the car decides to join the drama with a light failure worthy of a disco.
Day 65: Littleferry - Berriedale 10 Jul '25 Expensive castles, walks amongst ferns, an "alternative" beach, and a lonely place with a sad history. Oh, and sand in your ears. That's what our day in the Highlands was like.
