Three hundred kilometres, an epic nap and an impossible mission: finding somewhere to sleep. Between signs, new rules and not much useful space, today we had to improvise until the end.
We left late and ended up on a 4x4 route that was no shortcut. Seville gave us hugs, giant flamenquines, a dangerous coffee in IKEA and even a custom-made dog jumper. Full day without running.
The fog held us up, the city tested us, and the diesel nearly ran out. A day without tourism, but full of little adventures and improvised decisions.
The rain woke us up early and didn't let up all day. Between torrential cleaning, lacklustre landscapes and a village called La Fouillade, I discovered that even grey days can have their charm.
Between medieval castles, free showers, and impossible barriers, I ended the day like a top dog guarding a car park next to a cemetery.
The night was a concert of wind and rain that threw us out of bed on wheels. The next day, between sea swims, walks in the woods and an unglamorous end, I lived a thousand adventures.
From quiet caves to the Giant’s Causeway, via an overpriced bridge and some Chinese ladies shouting “E-AR-SAT” while I posed like a model. A perfect day for a canine explorer.
We didn't get to do the cliff path today, but we found a trail to the Blackhead lighthouse, some colorful houses that almost made me go cross-eyed, and a new spot by the sea to sleep.
An epic hike to the highest waterfall in the UK, mud up to our ears, views we didn't see, and a swim with a surprise… of midges. And all to sleep in an unremarkable port, but with an estuary.
