Today was one of those days that start late without asking for forgiveness. We woke up late and, when I poked my snout out the window, almost all the motorhomes had already disappeared. The sky didn't encourage any heroics either, so nobody was in a hurry. After all, running doesn't make the sun come up any sooner.
In the end, we set off after two o'clock and headed towards Seville. Before going into the city, Papi Edu wanted to go and see a new place where we might be able to sleep another night. It's called Cortijo Cuarto, in Bellavista. We took a quick look, the kind where you make a mental note, but it wasn't the time to stay there, so we continued with the logistics, that parallel adventure that doesn't appear on postcards.
First stop, Lidl. I stayed in the camper, as I already know the script. Then Decathlon, where Papi Edu went in with that dangerous look of "I'm just going to look" and came out with something under his arm. Afterwards we continued towards the Pino industrial estate. There is a fairly decent park there and we took the opportunity to park, eat quietly in the camper and let the day settle down a bit. I kept watch from my post, just in case the park decided to escape.
When it was already night, we set off again. It was time for Leroy Merlin, this time in Alcalá de Guadaíra, where Papi Edu bought a couple of things that, according to him, were essential for modern life on four wheels. Afterwards he wanted to try his luck at Obramat, also in Alcalá, a little further away. He didn't find what he was looking for, but at least the walk served to confirm that we were already in the area.
And as we were close to a place we know well and that never fails, we headed to the eucalyptus grove next to the Puente del Dragón. We arrived without making a sound, surrounded by tall trees and that eucalyptus smell that seems to clear your thoughts. It's a quiet, pleasant place, with real nature all around and no desire to complicate the night.
Here we are now, tucked away, calm, letting the day fade away completely. It hasn't been a spectacular day, but it has had its rhythm, its stops and its perfect ending. And with that, I already consider the day well spent.
