🇫🇷 France – Global Tracking 2025

Today a new journey begins. We've left Berga, Grandma and Uncle Joan (who stayed behind cutting hair), and we've already crossed the border like true smugglers. I'm a travelling dog again!

We were looking for the beach and ended up digging holes, dodging barriers, and searching for water at a snail's pace. We slept where the vines have changed their look since the last time.

Today we crossed half of France, attempted an excursion frustrated by the rain, saw the famous Millau viaduct from above and slept next to a menhir and a Christ, like good devoted Gauls.

We nearly fled the rain, we nearly went hiking, we nearly flew on a lake and we nearly slept where we shouldn't. But hey, the important thing is that nearly everything went well.

Subimos el Charmant Som como dos cabras con prisa. Casi no llegamos antes del anochecer, pero hicimos cumbre, selfies y bajamos corriendo. ¡Día épico en la Chartreuse!

Today the adventure started before we'd even properly got going: branches in the face, mud up to the wheels and a road so narrow we nearly came out in squeezed version. But the final destination: peace, countryside and no sign of humans. Brilliant plan.

Between walls, French terraces and lakes with signs saying "do not touch anything", today was a Friday of explorers. And yes, the lion of Belfort didn't bark at me. Coward.

Visitamos el palacio más surrealista de Francia, hecho por un cartero con mucha imaginación y cero prisa. Acabamos empapados en un cementerio y refugiados junto a una iglesia en mitad de nada.

Hoy nos levantamos con sol, pasamos por pueblos con y sin encanto, subimos por un sendero histórico, y acabamos en un rincón escondido con vistas de postal.

Vi glaciares sin frío, me mojé las patas en un lago y sobreviví a una granizada con sonido de guerra. Por suerte, terminamos el día en un mirador de cuento, sin humanos a la vista.
